Prerequisite required: Math assessment showing appropriate skill level
Prerequisite recommended: Mathematics 20S and/or a good knowledge of basic arithmetic skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division – as well as fractions, decimals and percent.
Description: This course will review, in a problem-solving context, the basic concepts of whole numbers, fractions, decimals and per cent in the first six weeks. Students will then study algebra and geometry up to an intermediate level, concluding with graphing basic functions, spreadsheets and trigonometry. Anyone planning to take Applied 40S should take this course.
