AEC Code of Conduct
Students and staff at Adult Education Centres (AEC) must behave in respectful and mature manner.
The following behaviours are unacceptable:
–bullying or abusing physically, sexually or psychologically—orally, in writing or otherwise—any person;
–discriminating on the basis of any characteristic set out in subsection 9(2) of The Human Rights Code
–using, possessing or being under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs at AEC
–gang involvement
–possessing a weapon, as “weapon” is defined in section 2 of the Criminal Code (Canada)
–carrying out any kind of criminal activity
–accessing, uploading, downloading or distributing material via email or the internet that AEC deems unacceptable or objectionable
Failures to comply with the AEC Code of Conduct can result in withdrawal from the program.
